Abstract: This study assesses the socioeconomic attributes determining the risk orientation of cane and bamboo handicraft entrepreneurs (n=100) in Nalbari and Sonitpur districts, Assam, India. Results indicate that annual income and source of labour are positively and significantly associated with the risk orientation towards the enterprise. On the other hand, organizational pattern, family type, and source of finance are negatively and significantly associated with the risk orientation towards the enterprise.
