Weed management in field pea (Pisum sativum L.)

Abstract: An experiment was conducted at Junagarh Agricultural University, Gujarat to judge the profitability and suitability of different weed management in field pea under clay soil. Experiments with 12 different treatment combination indicates that depend upon the availability of labour, profitability of rabi field pea could be achieved through 2 hand weeding and intercultural operation at 20 and 40 days after sowing. The study also reveals that application of pendimethalin @ 0.75 kg ha-1 or oxyfluorofe @ 0.18 kg ha-1 also suitable for the purpose.
