The input-output relationship indicates that farmers apply negligible quantity of plant protection chemicals though net return may be augmented by taking care of plant protection Benefit-cost ratio for jute cultivation is higher than the mesta. The study exhibits that the family labour engagement is more than 43 per cent of total man days for both crops.
