Abstract: The results of sea-buckthorn breeding in Azerbaijan are discussed. Assessment of the main biomorphological and economical traits of local varieties of sea-buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) is given. Discusses the results of studying of resistance to salt stress and structural elements of productivity of the varieties and forms of sea buckthorn. The essential differences between varieties were determined.
