Abstract: Field studies were conducted in West Bengal, India, during the 2008/09 and 2009/10 rabi seasons, to determine the influence of intercropping on the yield and economics of cabbage. The treatments comprised cabbage, cabbage + sugarbeet, cabbage + pea, cabbage + spinach and cabbage + coriander (Coriandrum sativum). Data were recorded on the yield, yield components and cost benefit parameters. Results showed that the cabbage + pea treatment recorded the highest yield and monetary gains compared to all the other treatments.
