Abstract: he effects of ethrel [ethephon] (0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150 ppm) applied as a foliar spray on the quality of pineapple (cv. Kew) fruits were studied in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. Ethrel at 25 ppm resulted in the maximum fruit length without crown (17.37 cm), fruit breadth (36.67 cm) and total sugar content (6.07%). The highest values of fruit weight (1.330 and 1.470 kg) and juice percentage (78.33 and 81.00%) were obtained with ethrel at 25 and 50 ppm..
